Springhill Hospice opened in 1989 and they provide specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses.
Springhill Hospice have in-patient, outpatient, day hospice and 24 hour advice line services available for patients throughout Rochdale and the surrounding area. In addition to services for patients, care is extended to the patients' carers and families.
The hospice is an independent charitable organisation and relies on voluntary contributions in order to keep the their doors open. The doors of the Hospice were opened by HRH Princess Anne in 1989. Thanks to a dedicated team of workers, the people of Rochdale have a Hospice they are rightly proud of.
The tremendous support from the public, from the original concept, to the present day allows the Hospice to continue providing specialist services to patients and their families and friends.
